They feature specially treated 1", 2", and larger slats, available in a variety of stains, paints and finishes. Solid and decorative woven cloth tapes can be added to coordinate with surrounding decor. Wood blinds bring warmth and a natural look to a room and provide excellent energy efficiency.

What are the main benefits of wood blinds?
Wood blinds add a feeling of warmth in a room. Because there are so many shades of color and stain to choose from, wood blinds fit in nearly any décor. They provide privacy when closed and, depending on the size of the slats, maximum visibility when open. One-inch slats are ideal for French doors or small windows. The most popular, two inch slats are suited to most windows. Choose a larger slat from 2-3/8" to 2-5/8" for maximum visibility and a less expensive alternative to shutters. Wood blinds also offer insulation benefits superior to other blinds and shades.
What is the difference between an inside and an outside mount?
An inside mount means that the blind is mounted on the inside of the window opening. Depending on the manufacturer, a depth of 1-1/4" to 3-1/4" is required. Review the product specifications before ordering. An outside mount should be used when there isnt enough depth to mount the blind. For example, shallow windows such as sliding glass doors and some wood cased windows will not allow ample room to mount the blind on the inside.
What type of valance should I choose?
For inside mount wood blinds, your blind will come with a matching wood valance that fits flush against the blind inside the window. When choosing an outside mount, the side of the blind head rail will be covered by a valance return. You may also choose the option of an inside mount blind with an upgraded outside mount valance.
Are wood blinds room darkening?

How do I clean my new wood blinds?
Regular dusting and occasional vacuuming will keep your wood blinds looking new. Use a dry feather duster, soft cloth or your vacuum with soft brush. Spot clean with a slightly damp soft cloth. Do not use ultrasonic cleaning or chemical solvents as this will damage the wood.
What are the available widths of wood blinds?
Most wood blind manufacturers offer widths between 9" and 84" to 96". For windows larger than 96" you may order two or three blinds on one head rail.
