Woven Wood Shades FAQ

What is the best application for woven wood shades?
Woven woods offer a natural or exotic look. Handcrafted from reeds, grasses, and natural woods into a wide variety of weaves and patterns, you will find a woven wood shade to match your style. Often called "bamboo blinds", these natural looking shades are raised and lowered like a blind and form "roman-style" accordion pleats when raised. They fit virtually every setting from elegant to casual. Woven wood blinds are light filtering and you can add a liner for privacy or more light control.

What options are available with woven wood shades?
Customize your woven wood blinds by adding such options as edge binding, top down bottom up control, continuous cord loop, and cordless lift. Optional operable liners are available to ensure light blockage and privacy.

What type of valance is available?
A 6” high matching valance that covers the headrail is standard on our woven wood blinds. Our own BlindSaver brand offers a 7” standard self valance. The valances are the same wooden or grass material you chose for the shade. Optional valances include scalloped valances and hems, enhanced with a decorative trim, or the Classic Wood Valance, both from Levelor.

How do I clean my woven woods?
Regular dusting and occasional vacuuming will keep your shades looking new. Before cleaning your shades, refer to the product specifications provided with the shipped blind for cleaning instructions.

What are the available widths of woven wood shades?
The shades are available in widths from 10 to 96 inches. You may opt for 2 blinds on one headrail for a wider window.

How are the shades installed?
A few simple tools are required to install the brackets. The shade then fits into the brackets. Each blind is shipped with installation instructions and all the necessary hardware. You can also review installation guides online by click Measure, Design, Install on the drop down menu at the top of the page.
